Uaxatún

Uaxactún is a Mayan site located about 25 kms north of Tikal, in Petén, Guatemala. Its name in the antiquity was Siaan K’aan, that means Born of the Sky. This city was inhabited from the Middle Preclassic Period, around 900 BC and all the Classic, having its maximum splendor from 500 to 900 AD.

For the tour the departure is from very early departing from the hotels in the central area of ​​Flores, the land transfer to Uaxactún is about 2 hours to about 90 Kms. Upon arrival or Uaxactún you will visit the most important sites of this archaeological park.
